At Bowmans we share a main road into the site with our neighbours AGT Foods and Bowmans Rail. Recently a slip lane was created to allow trucks delivering to Balco to safely pull off the road and park before they walk into the weigh bridge office. A loader parking area and walkway has been created to give the loader operators a safe area to park away from incoming traffic and out of the mud in winter. The path will allow safe access from the loader parking bay to the office at night and in winter. Previously the loader operators had to walk through trees and mud in winter which presented tripping hazards.
These important initiatives improve working conditions and safety for employees, contractors, suppliers, and site visitors.
