We are currently seeking skilled and motivated individuals to join the Balco logistics team based at Brookton, WA.
We pay a competitive above-award hourly rate combined with penalty rates and overtime opportunities.
Reporting to the Logistics & Office Coordinator, you will be responsible for the following:
- Loading/unloading hay bales onto/from trucks and stacking in the storage facility
- Complying with all Work Health Safety requirements
- Ensuring accuracy and conformance with prestart checks and plant inspection processes
- Regular review and maintenance of hygiene requirements in and around production facilities
- Ensuring timely and safe movement of products within production and finished goods facilities
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of problems with plant and equipment
- Ensuring a positive and professional attitude towards all team members
- Providing timely and positive assistance to other team members to manage peaks in demand
The successful applicant(s) will need to possess the following attributes:
- Education/Qualifications – required for Forklift and Loader Operation:
- Formally assessed Competency based Work Permit (Loader Operations LL)
- High Risk Work Licence (Forklift) (Desirable)
- Crane High Risk License desirable (CN) (Desirable)
- Previous Telehandler experience is highly regarded
- Hay bale handling experience is desirable
- Excellent Customer Service
- Excellent Teamwork
- Good problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of Work Health and Safety compliance
- Flexibility and ability to respond pro-actively to changing environments
- Sound verbal and written communication skills
- Good skills in Excel and other Microsoft Office products
- Good numeracy skills
- Good organisation skills
